Q4 2026: State of Pistachio Perfume Report
This report measures pistachio fragrance from both sides: 27,850 monthly US searches across 868 search terms, and 38 pistachio fragrances from 35 brands with their notes, US prices and shopper ratings.
Key findings

Search demand: Kayali dominates
Shoppers search pistachio fragrance about 27,850 times a month in the US. 49% of that names a brand or product, and Kayali alone takes 40%, 6 times the next brand (Fine'ry). The plain term "pistachio perfume" draws 3,600 searches a month on its own.

Retailer searches lean Sephora (310 a month) and Target (270). Searches for pistachio cologne and men's terms (230 a month) outnumber searches that specify women (80).
The pairing gap
When shoppers name a second note, it is usually caramel or praline. Pistachio and caramel searches (1,560 a month) run 4 times pistachio and vanilla (380), but brands reach for vanilla far more: it is in 55% of pistachio fragrances, caramel in 21% and praline in 5%, despite 890 praline searches a month.

What pistachio is paired with
Vanilla is the default partner: 21 of 38 pistachio fragrances list it. Florals follow at 18, then sandalwood at 11. Across the set, 31 of 38 add at least one dessert note.

Across 23 fragrances with a US price, price per ml runs from $0.44 (Tahari Parfums Pistachio Cloud) to $6.00 (Tom Ford Soleil Blanc) among perfumes, a 14 times spread. Median price per ml: extrait and parfum $3.44, eau de parfum $2.15, body mist $0.31. The typical perfume bottle is 50 ml (9 of 24 with a listed size), at a median $150.

Shopper ratings: a higher price does not buy more stars
14 pistachio fragrances have US retailer reviews, 7,979 in all, averaging 4.25 stars weighted by review count. The best rated with 100+ reviews is Mugler Starlicious Pistachio Praline at 4.8 stars (219 reviews at Ulta). The most reviewed is Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 with 2,994 reviews and 4.02 stars. Comparing the 13 that have both a price and reviews shows no meaningful link between price and stars (rank correlation -0.07).

Methodology
Fragrances. 38 pistachio fragrances (27 perfumes, 11 body mists) from 35 brands, each checked against a brand or US retailer product page by Nov 5, 2026. Pistachio must be a listed note.
Notes. Notes are taken as the brand or retailer lists them. Companion notes are grouped into families (for example, "salted caramel" and "creamy caramel" count as caramel); notes that name pistachio itself are not companions. Dessert notes are vanilla, caramel, praline, cream and milk, sugar and candy, and cocoa and coffee.
Prices. US dollar prices only, from the linked product page; 15 fragrances without a US price are excluded from price figures. Price per ml is price divided by bottle size.
Ratings. Star ratings and review counts from US retailer product pages for a single scent (14 fragrances). Pages that pool reviews across scents are excluded.
Search demand. Average monthly US search volume for 868 pistachio fragrance search terms from the Semrush US database, exported Nov 5, 2026, grouped by intent and brand by our research team. Pairing searches count terms that name pistachio plus another note.
Limits. The sample covers the pistachio fragrances sold or searched in the US that could be verified, not every pistachio scent made. Shares are of the 38 tracked fragrances unless stated. Each edition is frozen when published; the next edition updates every figure.
